BigPicture Kick-off - Setting the Stage for Innovation in Geriatric Nursing Education

The BigPicture Kick-off meeting was held on the 28- 29 May, 2024 in Turku, Finland. The event took place in the premises of Turku University of Applied Science. The programme was designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the project and to set the stage for the collaborative efforts that will follow.

The kick-off meeting was a significant event that brought together the project partners to discuss and plan the BigPicture project.

The event began with a welcome and project presentations, followed by an overview of the BigPicture project and its management plan. Participants discussed various project management practices, including ethical issues, budget, and finances. There were also sessions on project practices and analysis of skills, competences, and best practices. The event included a wrap-up session and a social evening program in the beautiful Turku archipelago.

The second day focused on the communication and dissemination plan, schedule, responsibilities, and initial activities. There was also a session on WP2 activities, focusing on skills, competences, and best practices. The event concluded with a wrap-up session for questions and idea sharing.

The kick-off meeting was a great success, setting a strong foundation for the project’s future activities. The collaborative spirit and the wealth of knowledge shared during these two days have set the stage for innovative developments in geriatric nursing education.
